Austin takes NYC’s place as “the city that never sleeps” for about ten days every year during SXSW. The three-in-one festival begins this Friday with SXSW film and interactive, followed by music on March 17 and through the weekend.

Andrea chatted with me, Andy, and Bryan today about Flip Happy Crepes, the converted airstream trailer she owns with business partner Nessa Huggins.
She brought some delicious crepes for us to taste include the vanilla cream with berries, lemon curd with blueberries, the Cuban, ham and cheese, and bananna nutella. If only every day began with a fresh nutella and banana crepe. Mmmmmm.
The news? Flip Happy is now open from Wednesdays to Sundays from at least 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. They are closed on Monday and Tuesday.

While I mentioned Vaquero Cocina as a great place in Austin to pick up BBQ on KGSR a couple weeks ago, I wanted to share a little more with you and finally settled on giving this lovely trailer it’s own post.

I’m a sucker for new food trailers and after hearing about Sushi-A-Go-Go on Twitter last week, I had to check it out. I drove from my office up to Manor Road where this new trailer was parked after being enticed by their daily Twitter special of $1 edamame and fresh tuna and yellowtail roll for $5.50. This spot is cash-only and I had $8 so I rounded out my purchase with a $0.50 house made Go-Go-Sauce and left the rest for tip.
