I’m kicking myself for writing this because The Tigress is the kind of place that makes you feel like you “discovered it” and are in on a secret. Add to that the fact that it’s tiny and to be honest with you, I don’t want anyone to go except for my friends.

This will be my second attempt at live blogging a class. The first was a Central Market cooking class geared to food bloggers in Feb. 2008.
It’s 6:30 p.m. on a Tuesday and I’m sitting in the very first of a 12-week class called Tipsy Tech: The History and Practice of Cocktail Mixology. Want a little art with your addiction? If so, you are most likely a latte art lover like me. There is nothing better than a barista (aka espresso artist) who creates a beautiful tulip or rosetta with a flourish before sliding a mug of freshly brewed joe across the bar.

The Winston Churchill High School class of 1996 is having a good week in the world of food media — Dhani Jones was on Man v. Food, David Freedenberg will be on No Reservations, and I was on the KGSR “Late Show” for my weekly Tasty Touring segment.
