The invitation set the tone. Sent over e-mail, it featured an illustration of a woman dressed up in a cocktail dress, black gloves, with a beehive hairstyle, pearls, and a glass of champagne. This would be a Mad Men New Years party. The invitation read:
“Help us ring in 2011 with a throwback to the swingin’ 60s and  a tribute to the stylish debauchery of Mad Men. Dress to impress — early 60s attire encouraged.”

I’m so glad that Olivia, owner and baker over at Sugar Mama’s Bakeshop, got enough of her voice back to join us on KGSR this morning to tell us about the shop’s first birthday party this Saturday and give us a taste of her delicious new line of bars and mini pies debuting next week!
The party is from 3 – 7 p.m. on Saturday at the shop, located at the corner of Mary and S. 1st, and will include live music, food, drinks, and a pie eating contest.
