Terra Burger – Another Opinion

When NYC food blogger James of The Eaten Path visited Austin last week, he checked out Terra Burger on the drag and reviewed it for the Web Site Serious Eats.
Guest blogger Double Tonic stirred up a bunch of controversy when she reviewed the organic burger joint last month. I hadn’t yet eaten there but was skeptical about the focus on organics instead of local ingredients — which are better for the environment and for our community economic health. Others had tried Terra Burger and shared their experiences — both positive …

Note on Tasty Touring Guest Bloggers

If you are a regular reader of my blog, you already know that I publish guest posts every once in a while — you may recall my brother Jeff’s ode to sandwiches, Tom being swept off his feet by Virginia’s The Red Hen, and Laura recalling her grandmother’s gift of gnocchi while preparing this unique dish for the first time ever.

A Bowl of Pho Will Cure What Ails Ya

February has not been kind to me. Just as I started to get over a bout of either walking pneumonia or bronchitis (the doctor at the clinic wasn’t sure which I had but gave me antibiotics to fight both), I got a bad cold. I’ve been so congested and my throat has been quite sore so nothing appeals so much as a bowl of soup.
Laura S. and I were on the UT-Austin campus for an Austin Jewish Film Festival event and decided to grab dinner on the drag. We were …
