Sao Paulo Brazil

Last year, Adam and I were lucky enough to travel to São Paulo, Brazil, as part of a work trip. In honor of the world cup, I’m finally posting about it!
I was meeting with colleagues in São Paulo and our friend Sara had lived there for five years and was weeks away from moving back to Austin; we were very lucky to have the opportunity to experience the city while she was still there.
When you visit Brazil, you will eat Pão de Queijo (gluten-free cheese balls made with tapioca flour). …

Are you Ready for Austin’s Cronut Craze?

I kept hearing about a cronut™ craze going on in New York last spring — with people lining up over two hours before Dominique Ansel’s bakery opened for the chance to try one. Each cronut is $5 with a limit of two per person, and cronut scalpers were waiting in line and then selling their cronuts for up to $100 each. New Yorkers are fuckin’ crazy….

The activity is continuous but we all need to eat, right? Listed below are places you can grab a bite 24-hours-a-day — or at least into the wee hours of the morning.
24 Diner is the newest addition to the 24-hour diner scene in Austin, joining Magnolia and Kerbey Lane in the race …

Tasty Up Trailer Tour

Yesterday was the most awesome tour to date. If you missed out on the first-ever Tasty Up Trailer Tour, co-organized by Addie Broyles and me, you’re about to be jealous.
Since it was a choose-your-own adventure tour, each of the 500 or so attendees had their own unique experience. Below are some highlights from mine taken with my brand new Canon s90 point-and-shoot camera.
Addie met me at around 11:30 a.m. at La Boite before she set off to Trailer Perk. The tour officially began at noon and those two spots were …
