Our Texas Hill Country Wedding

For me, really feeling like a truly married person has been a gradual process over a year and a half period. Adam and I got engaged in Paris on Sept. 25, 2011, got legally married in Houston in a hastily planned ceremony on Dec. 25, 2011 (Christmas Day), and co-hosted a second wedding ceremony and celebration in Austin on Oct. 6, 2012. Last week, I officially changed my name to Jodi Bart Holzband on my driver’s license, and today I’m finally sharing some of my favorite moments from our Hill …

Austin: Home of Coffee Delivered by Scooter

When my friend Jen mentioned “the coffee guy” in Hyde Park who delivers coffee that he has roasted in his garage by scooter, I knew I had to try it. I love how this guy does his marketing. He showed up in Jen’s backyard offering freshly brewed coffee one day and she’s been ordering ever since.
The Coffee Guy is Robby Jones and his company is Pilot House Coffee. He delivers coffee for free with beans roasted that day to the following Austin zip codes in Central, South, North and East …

Cuvee Coffee Roasting Company

About one month ago, Mike and Rashelle McKim opened their backyard to about a dozen tasty tourers for a visit to their roasting facility in Spicewood.
You have probably tried Cuvee beans if you’ve ordered a cuppa Joe at Caffe Medici, Houndstooth, Once Over, or Thunderbird.
McKim included lots of interesting information for geeks and trivia nerds alike. His beans come from Central and South America and he purchases one year’s worth during the annual harvest. He told us that most countries harvest once a year except for Colombia.
While burlap bags are the traditional container …
