Austin’s Meatiest Food News and Events

Apologies in advance to any vegans or vegetarians in the group, for some reason, there’s lots of flesh-eating events coming up over the next few weeks.
Without further ado, here’s what’s on my radar for Austin food lovers:

Out-of-Town Visitors’ Austin Recommendations: Part 1

The vast majority of our wedding guests were from out of town, and I asked them what their most–and least favorite Austin experiences were. We did offer them a list of some of our favorite spots to give them a head start on their research. Here is part one of their recommendations after getting a taste of Austin:

Anyone who has been to Franklin in the past year has a story of waiting in …

NYC Food Trucks on Park Avenue

Thanks to Twitter, @??? (Tony ?), connected me to Perry from @nystfood, who e-mailed me a list of some of his favorite food trucks in the city. At the moment, Perry specializes in Manhattan food trucks, which served me just fine, since we would be spending most of the week in the city. Lunches were unplanned, due to my work schedule, so I was hoping to visit a handful of food trucks midday. Thanks to Perry and his wonderful site, that’s exactly what I did.
While the trucks park in various …
