A Paris Engagement

While Adam and I took a bit of a social media vacation during our two-plus weeks traveling in Europe, we did take some time in drafting this email to some of our closest friends. Here it is, unchanged except for the addition of some additional detail and photos to help tell the story.
Dearest friends and family,
I’m writing with exciting news from the land of love and raw milk cheese. Adam asked me to marry him on Sunday Sept. 25 in Paris and I said yes!
The story:
We went to the specialty shops …

Le Fantasme Foodie Commence!

Today is the day that Adam and I leave on our Whole Foods Foodie Fantasy trip to Berlin, Amsterdam, Bruges, and Paris. Thank you again for voting for the video and giving us the opportunity to experience the trip of a lifetime.

Things I Like About Las Vegas

Hating Vegas was easy. But after staying there for six days, I actually found some things to like about the place. This includes:
1. My hotel room: I definitely wouldn’t have made it through the week without a nervous breakdown if it wasn’t for my hotel room. Cheers to blackout curtains, a king bed all to myself, maid service, a lovely bathtub and shower, and Internet access.
2. Friendly locals: I was pleasantly surprised at how kind the bartenders, dealers, taxi drivers, and other Vegas staff were. I don’t know how they …

Things I Hate About Las Vegas

While I did spend a night in Las Vegas at Circus Circus when I was fifteen years old and on a teen tour, I didn’t remember anything about it except that the University of Las Vegas had really nice dorm rooms.
So my business trip to Vegas for the Cisco Live! conference where my company sponsored a trade show booth was essentially my first time. I ran into my friend Jon who was going to hang out with a friend for the weekend and he gave me the lowdown on Vegas …
