I’m slightly fried chicken obsessed this week due to a visit to Eastside Showroom for their Monday night fried chicken last night and an upcoming birthday party that will feature “the best” fried chicken and biscuits I’ve ever had in my life.*

My boyfriend loves some Louisiana eats. So does my friend and Mississippi native, Betsy. Her husband, David, a recently reformed vegetarian, is pretty happy eating just about anything. When Betsy and David invited us to road trip down to New Orleans for Jazz Fest this year, I knew there would be some delicious meals ahead.

There are lots of places to eat outside and enjoy the beautiful spring weather in Austin this time of year. About a month ago, I stopped in to Once Over Coffee Bar on S. 1st to meet Dan from Thrillist Austin for a chat before work and some much-needed joe.
