I Thought I’d Never Get Another Tattoo…

…but this blog has made me think twice. What beautiful, colorful, thoughtful works of art! One day, maybe I’ll go under the needle again. Sorry, mom — looks like my chances of being buried in a Jewish cemetery are looking less and less likely.

Secret Ingredients: The New Yorker Book of Food

Fall brings many happy surprises — new beginnings, hope, apple pie, cardigans, smores, twilight strolls, and curling up with a good book.
When I lived in New York, it meant The New Yorker Festival and now that I’ve been an Austinite for five years, it’s the Texas Book Festival and the Austin Jewish Book Fair. The Texas Book Festival is this weekend and the Austin Jewish Book Fair runs through Nov. 10.

HAAM Benefit Day Kicks Off at Whole Foods

Lucy and I woke up at 5:45 this morning to walk down to Whole Foods to see The Dime Store Poets, one of my favorite Austin bands perform. I think I might have been the only fan crazy enough to get up that early but Lucy and I were in the mood for adventure.
