Flip Happy Crepes = Heaven on Earth

This is the hardest blog to write. I feel the way an apprentice might have felt when trying to pay tribute to their master craftsman during the Middle Ages. That might sound like a stretch but what I’m trying to convey to you is that Flip Happy Crepes exemplifies the reason I blog about food.

The women who started the business were moms who are pursuing their passion for wonderful food while making sure that they are actively involved with their children’s lives. That is why the business keeps such odd …

Jason’s Deli – Texas Born ‘n Bread

Last night Daniel very sweetly treated me to dinner at Jason’s Deli, where he is director of eMarketing and PR. We chatted with his boss (and step brother) Lee Greer, the chief marketing officer, about restaurants, food, marketing and PR. I was in heaven!

She polished off her dinner and we headed over to West Lynn. The bar was completely full when we arrived so they told us we could sit at a table. So exciting. They don’t even …

Primizie – A Wonderful Dining Experience in East Austin

On Friday I took Brooke out for her birthday dinner at Primizie, an Italian Osteria on the quickly gentrifying East 11th Street. I’d been there twice for lunch and enjoyed wonderful sandwiches and was looking forward to checking out the scene for dinner. At lunch we had always sat inside and it gets pretty loud because of the acoustics.

It was a gorgeous evening so we sat out on the sidewalk. We split a glass of Pinot Grigio — neither of us was in the mood to drink but wanted …
