Out-of-Town Visitors’ Austin Recommendations: Part 3

Our wedding guests sent in some great recommendations for me to pass on to other visitors to Austin. Here’s part three of the series.
Emily Goodstein of Wild and Crazy Pearl
Tacodeli continues to be a favorite food destination in Austin. I look forward to many more mornings there with Lucy Bart by my side sitting at a picnic table. I love knowing that “The Otto” with egg is called “The Craig” (THANKS KENNY); Editor’s Note: It turns out “The Craig” is an invention of one of my most dear, creative, …

Out-of-Town Visitors’ Austin Recommendations: Part 2

Our wedding guests sent in some great recommendations for me to pass on to other visitors to Austin. Here’s part two of the series.

Minna Golden:

We started the day with brunch at Noble Pig with Emily G. and Kenny P. As we were waiting for our meal, Adam took the lead on brainstorming lists of different types of bread and sandwiches.
After brunch, I took a nap while Adam and Emily went to Central …

Hospitality Bags for Wedding Guests

In planning our wedding, two things that I put a lot of thought into was (well, other than every little detail surrounding the wedding) the hotel where the guests would be staying and their hospitality bags to welcome them to Austin. The hotel we chose was the Sheraton Austin, and we went with that hotel because we liked the location near downtown and with easy access to the highway, the lobby was bright and welcoming, and the rooms were clean and each bed had white sheets and comforters (meaning they …
