Addie Broyles is a friend, Statesman food writer, co-founder of a food lovers book club, and co-organizer of the Tasty Up tour (taking place tomorrow afternoon throughout Central and South Austin).

This morning Bethany Andree brought delicious treats from the newly opened Snack Bar Austin, on S. Congress in between the Austin Motel and Jo’s Coffee Shop, to share with Bryan, Andy and me during our “Tasty Thursdays” segment.
Snack Bar is open from 7 a.m. – 12 a.m. and offers breakfast, brunch, sandwiches, organic wines, global appetizers and more.

Did you know that about seven times more restaurants opened than closed in the past year in Austin, Texas according to the Statesman?
This isn’t hard for me to believe in that I have a hard time keeping up with all of the new spots that are opening all around town — especially all of the food trailers!
After reading through the Austin360 Dining Guide, Mike Sutter’s recommendations for dishes and meals he enjoyed during his first year as Statesman food critic, I decided it was time to make my own list …
