I’m very excited to be participating in the Austin Food Blogger Alliance’s 2012 City Guide, a compilation of posts with recommendations on food and drink in our fair city. My first contribution is this guide to the best Italian food in Austin. Now, when I moved to Austin in late 2003, the Italian offerings were pretty slim. I’m on Day 4 of not eating. Well, I’m taking in calories, but there’s nothing to chew on or prepare. I’m on day 4 of a 10-day juice fast (or feast if you’re a glass half full kind of person), compliments of Matt Shook and David Ansel of Juicebox Austin.

Most of you know that Adam and I went to Europe last September on an amazing trip I won from Whole Foods Market after making this video; and that we got engaged in Paris.
