Sunday, Dec. 4: Thai Food for Flood Relief
3 December 2011
Thailand has been faced with massive flooding since this summer, with one fifth of the country’s population affected, according to this Huffington Post article. My friend Kenny heard about the Thai restaurant community coming together to raise money to help the people of Thailand recover, and wanted to share the information with you guys via a guest blog post. If you can swing by Thai Passion for lunch or dinner tomorrow (Sunday), I hope you will do so!

A tight-knit Central Texas community has organized an important fundraiser, and local fans of Thai food won’t believe what they have put together. Over two dozen area restaurants will be offering their favorite dishes on a rotating schedule at an all-you-can-eat buffet, complete with live music and a cash bar, in downtown Austin at Thai Passion (620 Congress Avenue # 105 Austin, TX 78701).

Well known local favorites Madame Mam’s, Satay, Titaya’s, Chon Som, Little Thai, Sub Sin, hosts Thai Passion, and more are all teaming up to raise money for victims of the ongoing flood crisis in Thailand.
Tickets are available at the door for $25, 100% of which is a donation to Thai flood victim relief, and the event will run from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
