Plan a Gorgeous Hill Country Wedding for Less than $1,000

If you ever decide to get engaged, and want to plan a beautiful, small, inexpensive wedding, head straight to the Chapel Dulcinea bookings page and get on their calendar. The romantic chapel has seating for 12, and the little reception area holds up to 30. I went there recently for the Monday night (I TOLD you it books up fast) wedding of my dear friend Brooke and her husband of a little over one month, Dave. The cake above was from the cake reception that Dave and Brooke planned. Chapel Dulcinea can take care of that for you as well, and it was beautiful!

I WISH that we were planning such an intimate affair! Sadly, Chapel Dulcinea would explode if our 200+ wedding guests showed up there for an event.

I got married here! And since my hubs and I eloped a year prior at the JOP (and kept it a secret, hard for me to do) we had to schedule on a weekday, too. My wedding ceremony there was gorgeous. Love the scenery, the view from the chapel, the tradition of ringing the bells post-service, love it all. The reserveation fee is tiny and you can opt to donate it to the Chapel or pick up your refund check on your wedding day. "You showed up? Here's your money back!".

Just a note that I did find out that the chapel only hosts same-sex commitment ceremonies on weekdays. They only host weddings that are sanctified by the state on weekends. That's something that I would hope they would change in an effort to show their support of same-sex marriage.

I had a wedding with about 40 people there in April of 2009. We loved it and wouldn't change a thing
