Holiday Gifts You Can Buy Online
It’s Black Friday at almost 3 p.m., and we haven’t left the house because we’re afraid of all the shoppers out for Black Friday! With my fear of dealing with traffic and lines and general frustration, it seemed like perfect timing to share some holiday gift ideas for those who like me, want to buy as many gifts as possible online.
One of my favorite gift ideas are cookbooks and coffee table books. I love something that is both useful and beautiful at the same time. When the PR firm for Lou Lambert’s Big Ranch, Big City Cookbook sent me a copy, I thought it would make a lovely gift for the Texan (or Homesick Texan) — especially those who love Lambert’s cooking. Personally, I can’t wait to give the achiote-seared chick peas a shot.
Another great gift idea for the holidays, or whenever you want to make someone’s day a little brighter, is a gift box. Both the folks at Whole Foods and at Central Market are offering some pretty cool gift boxes right now, and they are also offering free shipping (on Monday, Nov. 28 from Whole Foods and today through Monday from Central Market).
Whole Foods is offering three types of gift boxes that range from $30-$50 — The Gift of Grub (snacks), The Perfect Sip (coffee), and Mighty Bowls of Goodness (a healthy one-dish meal).
Central Market’s gift box options range from $40-$80 and include Texas Tour, Satisfying Snacker, and the Super Snack Setup.
Two of my readers will receive either a free gift box from Whole Foods, or a free copy of Lou Lamberts book. To qualify, please leave a comment below with an idea for more great gifts you can buy online. I’ll pick the winners in a random drawing!
Happy Holidays, y’all
