Kate's Southern Comfort food trailer on Barton Springs has traditional and non-traditional Natchitoches Meat Pies. True comfort food for Louisiana, these are small, empanada-style pies filled with meat and potatoes. Kate's sells boudin & bleu cheese Natchitoches Meat Pies, veggie ones and more. Delicious!

There's a great Southern / Cajun place on the Eastside called Mr. Catfish. It's on Springdale Rd. South of MLK. They have the BEST boudin balls I've had outside of South Louisiana! It definitely hits the spot when I'm hungry for home.
