Eastside Food Trailer Park Opening in June

UPDATE 8/15/10: I recently visited the East Austin Trailer Park and Eatery for lunch with my friend Mike from Austin Food Carts. The scene and food carts renting space there have changed in the little over two months since I visited/talked to Josh. Right now, there are 3-4 food carts that set up shop there at various times of the week. They include:
Along Came a Slider: fancy sliders including those made from waffle fried chicken, brisket, pork shoulder, duck, veggie, and of course regular old hamburger meat. They also make …

Royito’s: Another Austin Food Trailer, Another Cranky Post

I know I shouldn’t do this but I cannot resist poking a little fun at Royito’s, the new food trailer opening on W. 6th Street just East of Lamar.
The trailer is having a soft opening this week and word is that GSD&M Idea City co-founder Roy Spence himself is handing out free breakfast tacos and jars of his spicy sauce from the airstream through Friday of this week from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. (or until they run out).
I stopped by today on my way back to the office from …

Tasty Tuesdays: Best Fried Chicken in Austin

I’m slightly fried chicken obsessed this week due to a visit to Eastside Showroom for their Monday night fried chicken last night and an upcoming birthday party that will feature “the best” fried chicken and biscuits I’ve ever had in my life.*
*Projection

I’m now on the hunt to find the very best fried chicken in Central Texas. I have votes on Twitter for Cipollina, The Highball, and Royer’s Round Top. I’m interested in hearing where the best fast food fried chicken can be found — Popeye’s, KFC, Church’s, Chick-fil-A? Has anyone …
