I’ve been traveling a lot for work – eating meals on-the-go that have been generally disappointing. My expectations low, I flew back to Austin and stopped off at Sandra Bullock’s new shop, Walton’s Fancy and Staple at 6th between Rio Grande and Nueces, for a quick lunch before finishing off the day at my office. Had a great time with Bryan and Andy this morning on KGSR’s Late Show. Joe Humel of Rockstar Bagels stopped by, bringing a bunch of samples for to keep our jaws busy when we weren’t chatting.

I’m super excited about the Summer 2009 issue of edible AUSTIN, available at the downtown and Sunset Valleys farmer’s markets on Saturday! Associate Publisher (and Austin food event regular) Jenna Noel tells me that they will deliver this free quarterly magazine around town at these locations starting Monday.
