Grocery Delivery – Can it Work in Austin?

I was on the campus of UT-Austin the other day, helping shoot these videos on Valentine’s Day and text messaging, when I saw this yellow van with the shopping cart on top. Of course I had to stop and take a picture….

I did some quick web research and learned that City Sackers is an Austin grocery delivery service that provides “fast, reliable service at affordable prices.” You order online, pick a time slot for delivery, and pay a $2 delivery fee (there is no minimum order).

We Burned One Down

Thanks to everyone who came out to “Burning Love” at the Trailer Park Eatery on S. 1st Street. We checked out some fancy gourmet ‘smores at La Dee Dah and went around the campfire throwing in handwritten notes, pictures, labels that symbolized things we wanted to rid ourselves of or cleanse.

Food Heads = Really Great Sandwiches and Soups

I often forget about Food Heads but I was recently reminded that it’s a really great place to enjoy friendship and food. They have a large selection of soups, sandwiches and more. With the weather getting nicer by the day, don’t forget about this little lunch spot hidden away on W. 34th Street.

Next door to Food Heads is Salvation Pizza — where some of the best pie in Austin is served.
