I love a good breakfast taco and in my opinion, Mi Madre’s on Manor makes some of the best in Austin. Adam and I decided to surprise my mother with some breakfast deliciousness the other morning for her penultimate morning meal during a recent visit.
The breakfast tacos range in price from $2-$3.50 and we ordered four #0 tacos (bacon, potatoes, egg, and cheese), one #8 (vegetarian migas with corn chips, eggs, onions, tomatoes, jalapenos, and cheese), one #17 (pork adobado, grilled onions, and avocado).
On the specials board they had a Mexican Chocolate Waffle with 2 eggs and bacon for $8 that I’ll definitely try next time. There are other breakfast plates on the menu including low carb, ranchero, migas, and New Mexico.
Mi Madre’s serves appetizers and lunch plates as well and an enticing list of desserts. This includes “Camp Fire” – smores kit for two at $7, Churros con Cajeta – churros drizzled with chocolate and a side of caramel dip at $5.50, or a basket of Honey Sopapillas for $4.50.
