Thanks to everyone who made it out to the first ever Food Touring event. It was great to meet some of my online buddies IRL (Mando of Taco Journalism and Morgan Fairchild’s much younger twin, Jen B.).

Some of us met at around 10 a.m. at Flip Happy Crepes to avoid the rush. By 11:15 a.m., the line for these delectable wraps was pretty long.

About 30 of us were on the self-guided tour and we headed out to La-Dee-Dah on S. 1st at around 12:30 p.m. La-Dee-Dah is now going to be serving food out a small window in front and the menu is filled with lots of yummy local snacks. These include flavored popcorn, LovePuppies brownies, s’mores with homemade flavored marshmallows and graham crackers, and much more.

From there we piled into our cars and drove over to Hey Cupcake and shared some sweet goodness in the parking lot. The South Austin Trailer Tour rocked thanks to the awesome service/food and fun company. I also want to thank Adam for creating beautiful and informative brochures to help guide folks to the various trailers.

I’d love to hear your ideas for future food tours. This was too much fun not to do again. Stay tuned….
