I’m trying to eat healthier lately so you might see more fruits and veggies appear in the blog. This weekend, I ate lots of great local food. It started off with dinner at Eastside Cafe with Katie — we split Crabmeat-Stuffed Shrimp — 4 jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab meat, bell peppers, and garlic and served over fresh spinach. We had mashed sweet potatoes and veggie soup on the side.

This weekend I invited Katie and Rick over for a quick dinner before heading out to Hole in the Wall to see Eric rock out on the drums and make hilarious faces during a performance by his band, General Boy.

Last night, Rachel, Jessica, Ilyse, Melissa (pictured) and I spent the evening at a new wine bar called Uncorked to celebrate Rachel, who is officially moving to the Washington, D.C. area after about five months of world travel. It was surreal actually saying goodbye to her because aside from her being my best friend, she has been my family here in Austin — introducing me to her circle of friends when I moved here 5 years ago, including me in potluck Shabbat dinners, Chanukah parties, and countless outings and events. …Read the full post »
