Don’t refuse WeFuse

Everything at WeFuse, a new Asian lunch spot on 4th and Brazos seems well thought out…except the name. Who cares about that when the food is this delicious, reasonably priced, and healthy! This is the kind of place that us downtown working stiffs really need.

Katie, Eric, and I met Rick, who was at a conference downtown for lunch today and we all ordered bento trays. My companions were smart — they ordered “the deal” that includes any tray + miso soup and iced tea for $10. Mine was $8 and IMG_3905I was jealous when I saw the array of iced teas they could choose from with interesting flavors like mandarin and blood orange. Each bento tray comes with two sides but what you might want to know is that the sides are interchangeable so you can order whatever you want with your main entree.
IMG_3903I had roasted salmon with roasted asparagus and roasted tomatoes (with goat cheese). They also come with steamed rice and veggie dumplings. It would be hard to pass up the bento box when I return but they also have an extensive salad menu as well as soba or udon noodles. And, for dessert, they come around with a bowl of chocolate covered strawberries for a decadent end to the meal.

WeFuse has another location in the ground floor of Dobie Mall so all of you broke college students and academics can enjoy as well!

Why, WHY, don’t I work down the street from this place any more?!?! I’m so jealous!

And Katie looks so adorable in that picture!

I vote for a reunion lunch at this place in the near future.
